Everything at Once

Once I thought I could manage one post a month, at a minimum, but that also proves to be too much at times. Last few weeks, probably closer to a month, have been kept me rather busy. At one point I even felt like my life became some kind of telenovela and I wished I could just skip a few episodes.

I've spent seven weeks in the flat next door living out of boxes. I unpacked very little because I knew it was temporary. My landlady tried to persuade me to rent that flat instead but I'm truly glad I didn't. At first I wanted to avoid it because it was bigger and thus more expensive. I didn't need further financial strain before I secured employment. Then it turned out that despite the place being bigger, it had some major downsides. The kitchen area was at least half the size as my current one, I couldn't fit my kitchenware neatly into it and the sink was made of easily stainable material. It was also smaller than my current one and the faucet didn't reach the middle of the sink where you'd be washing plates. The wooden floor was too slippery for Artemis to run around on so she avoided playing and when she did, it dulled her hind claws.

I'm glad I'm out of here... but I'm disappointed that in those 7 weeks, they only painted the walls a different colour. The floor is still creaking and uneven and I expect the windows are still going to make this place very cold come winter. At least I now have a bunk bed which created much needed storage space for my game collection.

I like that I found out I had to move back when she knocked on my door with a potential tenant who came in for a viewing. The following week I was moving my things while starting a new job. That also came as a surprise because I spent the previous week struggling with a recruitment agency who couldn't find me on their system despite signing up and then it turned out I had to provide additional documents and chase references for them before being given an assignment. Just when I thought all was lost, turns out they didn't send me an email with the start date so I started working a day later.

Starting a new job, while exciting, it's also tiring as there's a lot of information to absorb. Moreover, every day I got home and spent a few more hours moving my things. I thought a new tenant would be moving at the end of that week so I had to be fast about it but when I was done, it turned out he decided not to move in.

It was for the best because for another week, my landlady had trouble with the mattress she ordered for the flat. I spent two weeks in total living between flats. One was my living room while the other was my bedroom. During that week, my mum decided she had enough and came over during the day while I was at work. I wasn't happy about it, I told her as much, especially since I made it clear I had enough being taken advantage of by dad and wanted an apology at the very least on his side... but she also had enough of that issue between us destroying her relationship with me. She camped with my sister in front of my door for four hours waiting for me to get back so I at least got them some tea. Now we're working on re-connecting.

It's going well enough for now. They came over again recently, this time invited, we had dinner and played a game. I appreciate it that she's trying to be respectful but, apparently, I still need to remind her that I'm not here to fix their problems by pretending to be my dad and calling governmental organisations on his behalf.

Well, it's all done now and I'm slowly regaining my equilibrium. I'm settling into a proper routine around my work hours, getting up for breakfast, going to work and having the evening for myself. There's still a fair amount of organising around the house to do so some of my hobbies are suffering but that won't be an issue for long, I hope.

A Moment of Respite

I swear, every time I plan to post here regularly, something inevitably stops me from engaging in blogging... but that's a subject for another topic.

I would much rather begin by stating that I've recently been on nearly a month worth of holidays and despite not going anywhere beyond the city limits, I had quite an enjoyable time. Since returning to work I found that people are shocked to hear I didn't go abroad as they believe there is nothing to do in Brighton.

That's certainly not true.

I love this city specifically because there is a myriad of activities you can engage in provided you've got the time and means, which my time away from work gave me plenty of. Here are some highlights from those weeks.

The Good

Let's start with some good points first before moving on to the worse aspects of these eventful weeks.

I've attended all my usual classes and activities without feeling that I'm overexerting myself. Attempting to have a life beyond sitting at home while working six days a week can get difficult so a period of time when I could do everything at my own pace was a nice change.

I can't believe how social I've been. Other than my regular outing to the RP Club, I've met with people from the club for lunch and had days spent playing games with them. I've been hanging out with various friends, even working out with some at the gym.

I've played an insane amount of games. I finally started Apocrypha, a game I've been looking forward to playing since 2015! (Its release was delayed a lot.) I've had people over to play with, I went to people's places to game and I even played in a gaming shop.

Despite never considering myself a social person, I ended up with day after day of spending time with other people. It was a crazy ride but I can't say I regret it. One of my friends even invited me to a sword fighting class which I attended three of. I did not think I would enjoy practicing with a longsword so much that I'd like to go there more regularly.

The most important bit of news, however, is that during this recent holiday period I've finally received my citizenship so now I'm officially British... and thus, I can legally drink copious amounts of tea.

The Bad

As busy as I was throughout those weeks, I haven't done as much as I've planned on doing.

Areas of my living space suffer from neglect and disorganisation, I intended to do some spring cleaning but failed to get round to it. I wanted to go over my finances and do some adjustments based on my spending habits as evidenced by the pile of receipts I haven't typed into my Excel sheet. While I tried some new recipes, it was nowhere to the extent I was going for and even my miniatures went untouched by my brush. I couldn't focus on reading nor did I have the creative energy to pour into blogging and roleplay session write-ups.

I thought that having three weekends off, I could go to some sewing classes that they usually hold on Saturdays but I couldn't muster enough energy to start something new. Instead, I went to a Character Design Workshop that lasted a few hours but I was fairly disappointed by it. I didn't even open my jewellery making set which I didn't want to use for the past year as I was saving money and silver does consume money when you actively use it.

Before I move onto the next aspect of my holidays, I must preface it by admitting that I'm not an emotionally strong person. When the below happened, I broke down severely and couldn't always keep myself together. Especially when I was by myself. My failings over those weeks off stemmed mainly from this.

The Ugly

As I've mentioned previously, I've received British Citizenship. Over the course of my time off work, I was required to attend a ceremony to be presented and given said certificate. Since my parents helped me out financially get to this point, I invited them to the ceremony as guests. I did not hear from them for two weeks when I found out that they wouldn't be coming.

A few months back, during the change of the year, my dad contacted me about an issue he had. His previous employer didn't cover his parking receipt while he was driving the company's lorry. He asked me if it's legal, to which I replied that I didn't know. Later he sent me some legal webpages to read through which I couldn't fully understand because they required further contextual reference which I lack and because during the Christmas period I work very long hours, to the extent I had to leave work early one day because I started having trouble walking.

I didn't fix his issue which may have costed him £30.

My parents couldn't attend because my dad feels I'm ignoring him and acting as if he's not there. He's jealous of my relationship with my mother so she's no longer allowed to talk to me. The discussions with my mum that I had after finding this out were excruciating. I've always had a difficult relationship with my father. He's only ever tried contacting me when he needed something and when I couldn't deliver, he'd guilt trip me. There were years when we wouldn't speak until something serious happened, like his heart attack or his father's death, that got me to talk to him again... but no matter what, it always boiled down to me being treated like his personal assistant rather than a family member.

I seemingly couldn't explain this issue to my mother. She kept asking me to reach out to him, to make that first step towards having a better relationship between us, completely ignoring that I had done it three times already. I told her that all the things she was telling me I should have been hearing from him rather than simply being ordered around and disregarded as a person. When I suggested he should contact me, for once, to talk about how we can work on having a better relationship, I was told he wouldn't do that.

At that point, I felt completely shattered, even more so when I heard that nothing would have gone wrong if I had just done as I was told. As a child, I felt unwanted, and as an adult, I feel used and manipulated. Whenever I tried raising these issues, I was told that wasn't how I felt. While I would love to have a good relationship with my family, I no longer believe in one-sided relationships so I also had to let go of this one.

Last Year's Drama

Well, it's April already and I still haven't done any review of last year.  I wanted to sit down and do it after my CELTA course... but life got in the way, as usual.

I had this enormous post planned in my mind, analysing and breaking apart all those significant events that took place in my insignificant life last year but now I don't feel like going into that sort of detail. I suppose the storm of the past few weeks has passed and I'm just a bit too tired to think about a chapter that has already finished. Yet an epilogue is always good to write...

2012 had this very specific theme of letting things go.

I'd say empathy is considered a desirable trait. We are encouraged to give to charities and look badly at anyone who dares not to help another human being in need. I seem to recall not providing first aid to someone being considered a criminal offence... but I'm not a lawyer. Problem is when you have too much empathy; when you care about others more than yourself; when you sacrifice your own well-being so someone else has the sliver of a chance to get better.

I suppose this is why others always told me to take care of myself.

Two things happened. My dad rage-quit his job and as he was in the process of moving, he decided he didn't want the place where his contract was about to end nor the new one that he signed the contract for. After spending a vacation at my mum's place, he asked me if he could move in with me while he's looking for a job in England. I agreed since he's my father and I wanted to help him. That was one of my biggest mistakes that year.

I got into arguments with him over smoking in my room. Thing is I rent a bedsit so this one room is all that I have available. My dad deemed it too hard to go outside for a smoke, especially since he saw other tenants smoking in their rooms. Of course, my dislike of him making a chimney out of my room was all my fault since I got unused to inhaling smoke and my sister and mum somehow survived it. The way I kept coughing was because I kept getting sick at work. The worst parts were when he started to shout and threaten me with moving back with my mum, without a job, so she won't have any money to live all because I couldn't handle a bit of smoke.

There were also other problems like my dad being unhappy that I'm not jumping with joy because he put up shelves that I didn't want in the first place, or him telling me how to use a fork, which all can be summed up by this nifty term called micromanaging...

I promised my mum I will put up with it for a month as was our agreement. Fortunately, all his talk of 'only for a month' actually being meant as a preliminary didn't come true. He moved out and I had a few weeks of peace. Until he decided the best way to approach the problem of why his son doesn't want to speak with him is to take a week off, go to my place and stay here until I have no choice but to talk to him. This too ended without me calling the police to get rid of him because my sister coerced him to leave me alone. I was shocked when my sister told me dad doesn't know why I'm angry with him because he didn't do anything wrong.

I guess somewhere along the way I got so tired of being treated like his soldier that I just quit. I wanted to have a good relationship with my father and not let it turn out like how his relationship with his parents is but I just had enough.

The other important development was with this pseudo-friend I had. Now that I look back at it, it's just strange. We met at work and hung out a lot. After a while we found out we had a lot in common... but to my chagrin, all attempts to actually follow up on those activities were ignored time and time again until I was told to just stop it. So all we did was hung out and chat about her problems whenever she called me. She asked me for help often and I kept on helping the best I could because that's just the way I am, I like helping people.

I suppose everything would have been fine if she didn't tell me how grateful she is for meeting me and that if I'll ever need any help to just tell her because I'm her best friend... and one day I did. I asked her to meet up because I wanted to tell her how the things she keeps telling me hurt me, she said she'll get back to me but then she kinda forgot about it. I just couldn't make any sense of it. It looked to me like she can only find time for someone she wants to sleep with or to get drunk but her best friend who she supposedly treasures so much is just not worth giving a grain of her time.

I confronted her about it after nearly a month. She claimed she didn't think it was important and was angry at me that she always has to take the initiative. That was a short conversation, we met up later to discuss matters outside of work. She said I was playing a game with her, that she felt cheated and that everything was a lie. I told her that I just wanted to share some of my life with her like she did with hers.

There was some back and forth between us for a while. During which she told my sister things between me and her were getting better, though I don't know how since she wasn't doing anything to make it better. Then we started to talk again and after a while she asked me to take her to the doctor's again, so I did... and it was the same thing again. I invited her to do stuff together a few more times but she kept bailing on me... and then she told me that the reason why she didn't call me at all was because she was too busy getting drunk... The same thing happened again but this time, since we weren't working together any more, I had to text her saying how much I hate her behaviour and her lies. She tried calling me but I felt too much like crying to have a conversation. Then she tried talking to me on Facebook but I went to make breakfast and by the time I got back she just told me now she knew what I really wanted from her. I explained myself again and we didn't speak to each other for several weeks.

Until she called me to ask if I would lend her some money... so I did. We talked a bit, she hugged me, said she was touched and yet I felt this sense of everything being false. I didn't expect to see that money back. I followed up with a test, I invited her for a Christmas dinner since neither of us had any family close. She said she couldn't come, as per usual. Last I heard from her, she called me crying, saying that she kicked out her boyfriend because he was tormenting her psychologically by being so jealous that she couldn't have any friends whatsoever and that she didn't know if she's just so immature to not be able to hold down a relationship. I listened but I felt like I didn't really care... not any more at least.

When all of that was going on I just felt like my self-esteem is eroding. I just felt worthless and used for my kindness. I didn't expect that standing up, getting the courage to feel I deserve better than this and actually saying enough is enough would make me feel so much better. I'm glad I did what I did, I really don't need that sort of self-absorbed people in my life... and I feel a lot, lot better now...

A Stream of Thoughts...

Another summer went through and I'm still undecided on how I feel about it. Many things have happened... good and bad... over the period of many months...

I had some very serious problems with my father that caused a rift between me and my family. Anyone who knows will be aware that I hold family ties very dear to my heart. Unfortunately, the situation went so out of hand that I no longer felt safe in my own place. I guess I could say I got unused to it after I moved out so I felt like I'm taking a step backwards rather than forwards...

Nobody wants to go back to dark places...

It was horrible. I felt like I was a prisoner... and my only crime was that I wanted to help my family... but whatever I did was not enough because I refused to throw away the life I am building for myself... Once again, I started to fear going back home... my friends knew about it and tried to help me by just hanging out and chatting while I was waiting for my dad to just go to bed...

The gesture was nice and I am still grateful but it did cause problems of its own. I felt like I was with people 24/7 and that tires me out greatly. The extent of how terrible an effect it has on me I can only see now, after nearly five months of build-up.

Then I managed to get rid of my dad and my sister arrived for the summer. Last year our shifts at work were such that we didn't have a day off together, that changed this year. Although I knew it would be hard, I didn't have the heart to just make sure I would keep my contact with her to a minimum, especially since she was happy to have a chance to spend time with me. So I kept our shifts the way they were. stopped going to the Roleplay Club and ended up with no time to study...

I am generally unused to it, she usually just ignores me. I suspect she wanted to alleviate the tension that rose up with our father... and well, after we went through the most recent season of The Vampire Diaries, she lost interest...

I asked her to do things together. I suggested films, series and games for us both but she preferred to read comments on the net.

I suppose work was a bit better... I had a few annoyances with people telling me that what I'm doing with my free time is wrong and I should stop... I minimised contact with one really nice person because she kept saying things that hurt me... and I stopped talking to someone really annoying...

I also made the decision to stop drinking all together rather than having a cider now and then... so now I have to deal with people being even more obnoxious about my drinking habits...

As I said before, there were also good things. I started to give tuitions and people became very interested in me teaching them. I met a lot of wonderful people this year and I've been making changes to my life that I hope are for the best.

At one point my sister's laptop broke down and I couldn't bare seeing her unable to find something to do with herself. Since then I've been spending more time on my Xbox and while my Gamerscore did go up significantly, I lost my ability to order my thoughts. I didn't think about it back then... just like I didn't think not going to the gym for a week would cause insomnia... but it is what it is...

My mind is chaotic and labyrinthine... like the dreams of the Neverborn... to look into it can drive anyone insane... Now I realise that I do need to order my thoughts... I do need time alone, by myself, to either write down or contemplate things so I can function normally...

I did try to talk about what's going on with me... but I'm not a talker... I'm trying as hard as I can to go out and talk to people... and it's odd to hear someone say that I like to talk... after so many years spent in the silence of a grave... but talking is still stressful... I can teach, I can explain, I can guide but I doubt I have a good grasp of having a simple chat...

but I like to listen... and every time someone asks me for my opinion, taking me out of that comfortable state I'm in... my first thought is: ANGRIFF!!!

All of the above has built up in me to the extent that I keep acting in ways that are so far away from my norm... I no longer feel like myself... it has gotten to the point where I'm lashing out at anything and anyone... things that I would normally ignore cause me to erupt with uncontrollable rage...

I'm losing my cool too often...

but it's not the first time I'm at this stage...

I know what to do...

I'm just afraid I might not be able to...

well...

My sister is at work now...

and I'm here alone...

in silence as soft and gentle
as a wind sweeping ashes off the graves...
surrounded by the absence of light...
being consumed by nothingness...
and with only my heart...
counting down the last few moments...
...
...

Away for Christmas

As someone on Facebook has reminded me... I did have a lot of bad luck when it comes to travelling... and I haven't talked about it much lately... mostly because I didn't do any recently... in the span of a year I moved into four different places so I didn't really have time to travel anywhere exciting... I didn't say anything during my last trip to see my family in October because my mind wasn't even on this blog... shameful, I know...

I did, however, go for Christmas this year.

It's rare for me to actually be with my family for Christmas since I usually have to either work or go to classes. It wasn't that difficult when I was still living with my parents because it just meant we were spending an evening together instead of the whole day but now it's just not doable if I can't take at least a week off to leave England.

BUT WAIT?!

Do people not get Christmas off?! Why yes... people do get the period somewhere close to the 25th December off... I usually get bored during that time... I was kinda annoyed that my workplace decided to not open on that day... if I knew sooner, I'd probably try making some plans so I don't die out of boredom... on the plus side, I did get holidays without any problems and there were no classes to attend to in the first week of January so I did get to spend Christmas with my closest family... that would be fourteen people currently... though my dad couldn't make it...

WAIT WHAT?!

You can blame Julius Caesar for that.
While most of the world follows the Gregorian calendar for religious practices, I do not. Thus I have Christmas in January. I also have New Year starting on the 14th January.

Anyway...

The process of going from one country to another wasn't all that bad this time around. Neither was the last time I did this, strangely enough. There was hardly anything exciting going on. I went out of the house a few hours early to spend some time with someone . After two hours of chatting I went to catch my train...  I feel like crying just thinking about it... I went to London, I went underground and had to wait half an hour at St Pancras... incidentally they had this really cool tree at the station... it was so cool that I had to do the unthinkable... I took out my phone and snapped a photo...

But what is so awesome about this tree that I just had to make a photo of it? I'm glad you've asked, my theoretical yet non-existent reader. Well... in my infinite wisdom I have made a close up specially for YOU...

It's made out of LEGO... most awesome indeed... Lego Christmas Tree... so shiny...

MOVING ON

I caught the last train and had to spend the next couple of hours waiting for my plane. I may have fallen asleep somewhere between Brighton and London but what kept me awake was the paranoia of one of those people at the airport secretly being a brain eating alien from outer space. In order to keep my crumbling psyche intact, I decided to train my Pokemon and beat up two Gym Leaders on my quest to becoming the greatest Pokemon trainer in Unova!

After check-in I decided to dine at an airport restaurant, for breakfast. You see, I always hear tales of how bad the cuisine there is but I've never tried it myself so I couldn't in evil conscience say that it is bad. Now I can say that it's not bad but it's definitely overpriced. Compared to one restaurant in Brighton, the breakfast at Luton is half the size and twice the price. That's really not my idea of a good meal.

The plane was not delayed by a day nor did it crash. Yet something else happened which I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing until that day. Mainly, the announcer was telling over the megaphones that the plane is about to fly off and that all passengers for this flight should hurry up before they get stranded on the airport for all eternity. Strangely enough, everyone was still in line because the plane didn't open the door yet. Some people chuckled... some got annoyed... a kid punched my knee...

I slept through most of the flight. After landing I got my luggage and went to catch the bus, which was already at the parking lot waiting for the driver to finish his break. I slept through most of the ride too. Then I got picked up by my mom and sister...

It took me 12 hours to get from point A to point B so it wasn't bad at all on my usual standards...

Christmas went well... I played on my 3DS with my two Sith Apprentices... though I ended up with a 40 degree fever shortly afterwards and had to delay my flight... which meant I spent New Years in bed instead of with friends like I was planning too...

and I'm still coughing... but there are plus sides, mainly the image below...

The Weekend

On Saturday I went to DragonMeet where I saw Insane_Prophet, Deoq and Revamp... Mithras didn't show up, no clue what's up with him... I was with my flatmate and another friend so we had some confusion as to what we're doing and I ended up walking on the guys halfway through a game of some Wrestlers RPG... I just sat next to them and read one of the books I bought... on to the things I bought!

Geist: The Sin-Eaters - I buy a White Wolf book every time I go to DragonMeet...
Hero System 6th Edition Volume 1 - the part with Character Creation rules, heavy book but I'm glad I bought it... I just like reading a book instead of a pdf... and I am running a superhero game using it...
Superiors 4: Rags to Riches - an In Nomine supplement detailing some Demon Princes, it was in the cheap stuff section, where I usually find out-of-print books...
War for the Throne - I normally buy an Exalted book this time of the year... but there weren't any so I got myself this Exalted boardgame... I'll play it this Saturday with my group...
a skull ring - it was cheaper than a pendant and I thought it's about time to wear rings... I'm also thinking of piercing my ear/s...
HeroClix - two booster sets since they were half-price and there are guys playing it on Sunday in the same shop I go to on the weekends... I got Batman and Batman 1 Million!
Dice - I bought a lot of various dice, one with a side that has the Union Jack, another with a skull, one with just Good/Evil/Neutral on it and one double d10 (a bigger d10 that has a smaller d10 in it)...

I also bought a die with poop on it and green 9d10 for Seventh Attempt... it was funny, I bought them from Q-Workshop which I know is a Polish company, I noticed that the staff has Polish names on their T-shirts (Magda, Przemek) so when they asked me what I think of the dice, I replied in Polish, talked a bit and they gave me a poster for free!

as the convention was coming to an end, I started looking for my flatmate but he was nowhere to be found so me and my other friend (the one who is also in my group here in Brighton) went to catch the train. While on the Overground, this friend got a call from a guy who is part of his London group and was invited to come over to game... so I went with him and we played Magic The Gathering, had pizza and finished off with Ave Caesar (a chariot racing board game)... best thing is that this group consists of two couples and both wives are hot...

I returned home at 1am and woke up with a cold the next day... my parents came over in the morning, my mom made dinner while me and my dad struggled with assembling the bike I bought... then me, my parents and my flatmate had dinner... I translated the conversation between them... then me and my dad had some mock lightsaber fight photos taken of us... my mom had a glass of wine with the flatmate while me and my dad played House of the Dead Overkill on the Wii with the pistol thingies...

after the first game, my dad got used to the controller and it was suddenly very hard to beat him in point scoring...

we went to bed after the game... after breakfast my parents went to Sainsbury's to buy my mom lunch for when she'll be on the plane and she bought Cif so she can clean up the bathroom before leaving...

then we said our goodbyes...

It's been so long...

I haven't posted in a while... mainly because at first I didn't have what to write about... at first... then everything blew out of proportion and I didn't have time to say anything...

After all the semester ending madness subsided, with me being sick for a week at the end and running madly to catch up... by the way, it is very unpleasant to have a rather nasty fever while there's a party downstairs... then I had a week to prepare myself for a journey to Poland.

I am too lazy to check if I said anything about it already but I am not going to apologise for repeating myself (my blog, I'll do whatever I want with it!): My dad had car issues and I had to deal with an insurance company, the repairs garage and the lack of communication between them. Later on I had to deal with the rental company too... and it all lasted a month at the end of which dad got a cheque (that had problems going to its destination) and a broken car so he had to buy a new one.

We were supposed to go to Poland by car but it broke down and couldn't be repairs so I had to buy myself a plane ticket and repack everything in my possession for that trip since my landlord decided he will be painting the house. That was not a nice day to have. At least I managed to buy cool toys for my little Siths :D

and then we had one week with parents, which was okay and then a week without parents, at the end of which I went to a con in Warsaw... I'll have the report posted soon enough with some seminar reviews/reports/stuff... naturally, I spent some time with Vegael, watching films and hanging out... he can still be annoying but he got me a really cool external hard-drive full of anime so I won't stab him... for now... oh... and he was happier about getting Darkly Dreaming Dexter than I expected...

In the recent weeks I spent a lot of time with the Godmother of my oldest Sith Apprentice. She's a fun gal and we hanged out in town, the streets, the malls, the parks... we even saw Terminator Salvation together... and I cried, it was such a moving film... I'm a terrible wuss...

Last time we were out together some drunk guy wanted money from us... even though we refused, he kept following us until he grabbed her by the arm... and I had to be MANLY... apparently, my manliness causes people to give up... then we went to eat some kebab... and I had a chuckle when she ordered a kebab without kebab...

Other than that, I borrowed a book on Shamanism and Hungarians from Książnica Podlaska's director... my poetry book is starting to look like reality, finally... I will have a print run of 300 copies.

I regained the ability to use maps in my online games... which makes combat all the more enjoyable... I like it when players have to decide between a Move and a Dash, who to attack and where to place themselves from tick to tick...

I might be running yet another Exalted game though this time it will not be on RPoL and it will involve different things from player characters... seduction and torture will be a more viable part of it than in United We Stand...

First episode of mine and Daniel's podcast... where we topple how to make a campaign using one of mine as an example (Saint Christopher's Orphanage for Lost Children!)... has been recorded... four more to go and we'll be looking at releasing them to the public...

and I think that's all... I better go write some emails to people... oh... and I might put something on DeviantArt... some character fiction at least...

Working Weekend is Free

A while ago my dad asked me about one thing in relation to work.

As some of you may (or may not) know, my dad works as a lorry driver. Every other week, he drives off on Friday to make a delivery and returns to base on a Saturday because it's such a long trip from point A to B. Apparently, his employer now tells him that working four hours on a Saturday isn't work so he won't be paid for driving back to base on the weekend. The matter could be resolved simply by not working on Saturday but the situation is such that if he doesn't, he'll be spending the weekend in the lorry...

So he asked me to find out if this is even legal for an employer to do...

This ended up long...

It's been a very long time since I last updated. As I told Exmiscellanea yesterday, it's about time I give you people some explanation why you had to endure without me rambling maddeningly into the internet void (how you did that, I have no idea)...

It all happened simple. I wanted to make some changes in my lifestyle, be a bit more outgoing and sign up for something (like martial arts classes). Alas that did not work because the moment my mom heard about it she shouted me down for being inconsiderate, uncaring and egoistic. Which also marked the first time I was ever called egoistic, after years of counsellors telling me I should be more egoistic instead of only thinking about others. She also got mad that I didn't want to spend most of my summer at my grandfather's. While I like it there, resting in an isolated area runs counter-productive to achieving a more outgoing lifestyle.

Next up was my grandfather getting dizzy and having headaches. That in turn resulted in his doctor calling for testing to see if he has brain bleeding. He turned out okay but due to the testing, he was in need of resting in bed to the extent he would need to lie there all day and night for a week. Unfortunately, with my grandfather the only possible way to relieve him of putting strain on his body through work is to take that strain away from him. In other words, I had to go there and work alongside him so he wouldn't work too much. In the meantime, I managed to go to Warsaw for a convention, mainly to talk with one person and get some things in order. I also bought a game and stuff.

My dad arrived for two weeks some time later, the first of which was spent in Masuria. The next had a cold war theme going on due to me receiving information on not passing a module... and the subsequent panic mode I naturally enter whenever something doesn't go as planned. The essay was being written, in the meantime I went once again to Warsaw for an anime convention with Vegael. It wasn't the greatest experience, but I got some cool merchandise (I'm such a geek). My soul was also consumed by Death Note before I managed to finish the essay.

That being done, the only thing that needed to be taken care of was to clean my Bionicle collection. It was an epic task in and of itself, I'll have pictures to show its size up later on.

If you think that's all that's been keeping me up from being more internet active, I should mention a few more things. I tried to correspond via email every now and then. It may not have worked out as I wanted it to, but it's better than nothing. I find it really hard to concentrate when everyone is home and running around. If it wasn't for the noise that it would have caused, I'd write more in the morning instead of quietly reading internet gossip so as to not wake anyone up. Civilisation IV also got my soul, I spent most days playing it with my sister because she wanted to spend time together with me and considering I might not have that opportunity for more than a year from now on, I couldn't say no. Don't forget that as a Godfather, I have the duty to corrupt a baby so he can grow up into an evil mastermind to rule the world, babysitting is fun like that. Having the PC divided between 2-3 people wasn't helping my internetliness either...

At present, I still don't know what's up with my essay. I don't even know if it reached my tutor, much less whether or not I'll pass those classes. Vegael and I want to start a speculative fiction blog and I probably should put my games off hiatus but my head hurts so much, I think I'll do it after dinner.

Now that I think of it, maybe it's a good thing I didn't had time to edit a video I made shortly after arriving here. As you probably noticed, I look awful on videos... but that still doesn't mean I can't make videos about consuming horrible things that you probably didn't know existed! (like sorrel soup, for instance) As work and school started for my mom (she was on sick leave for a week) and sister, I have more time on my hands. Expect stuff being written...

Oh yeah, there was a Mozart CD in the mail yesterday... listening to it now!

Monday, 4 February 2008

I haven't written anything in quite a substantial amount of time... so here goes nothing...

I'm now a Godfather and I have in plans making a video with pictures of the event... I'm amazed at how my mind is able to go from not knowing why I joined YouTube due to not having any ideas for videos to having a dozen ideas just by making one video... my creativity astonishes even myself...

Shortly after the Orthodox Christmas (which I could finally spend with my family unlike the previous year) I went back to England. Naturally, my laptop was somehow misplaced at the repairs so I had nothing to work on for a week. This was during assignment month thus it caused a lot of angst and anxiety to gather. There were computers I could work on in the university's library but I hate the atmosphere there...

With the start of the New Year, I begot a new project. Vampir's Writing Monthly which is a mere list of email addresses to which I send out some of my writing each month. I originally intended it to be just for the selected few of whom I knew they'd enjoy something like this. After a while, I decided to change that and put up a thread about it... suddenly I have 30 people on my list... now this is really going to make me write regularly.

After I regained my laptop it was not so difficult to get myself into the essay writing mood. Thus I've created an essay analysing language use in a lego catalogue and another on the whole polysemy vs monosemy of modal verbs in English semi-flamewar... I can't say I'm proud of either but they were the best I could come up with considering the circumstances.

I'm noticing that I really do not fit into the Polish RPG community. They are focused on rules to the extent I find plainly degrading. I always found that the moment you apply physics and whatever laws you can think of into a game, you stop playing it... and a roleplaying game is kind of pointless if you aren't playing it... This of course makes writing for the websites a bit harder... I guess my view of rpg rules is more in terms of guidelines rather than laws, it might be an incorrect view but with the way people regard me when I'm making a new game or running one, I come to believe I'm doing what I'm supposed to do.
Making a game enjoyable...

I've created a Scion game called The Second Age of Myth. It sort of becomes my theme for my games to attract attention. I'm amazed when I'm telling someone I'd rather not see them in this game due to how they left one I was running previously and instead of being offended and telling me off, they calmly explain themselves and say they really want to be in my game because of my storytelling. I know this is going to sound egocentric, but I'm really glad people enjoy what I create... and want to see more...

Apparently, since I find this to be funnier than this, I'm immature and not intelligent enough to laugh at jokes above farts...

My sister sent me DVDs of One Piece... 133 episodes... I think I may be in Heaven...

Happy New Year

Although the year started with a smile, my mood is quite foul now. I'm too depressed to care about anything, which is quite bad considering I have assignments to do soon. Without a laptop, I'm getting so bored here that my mind just shuts down... I shall be going through hell when I'll get back to England...

Naturally, other events aren't making things any better!

I was given a translation of poems worth 60 pages and for now I'm just correcting little mistakes (like loose instead of lose). I do this because the translation has some lines that I just cannot agree with (anymore none still ???). The translator started talking about how he tried to translate the rhythm of a poem... but I'm getting an impression he forgot about the sense of a poem... I'm going to talk about it with the Director first because from our short conversation, it feels like the translator in question considers me inferior. He kept on talking on how translations are made as if lecturing me... and here I'm supposed to write an opinion about his work... not a good start.

I might be doing some translation work, for which I am glad, but now I have the inevitable problem of money. I just don't care at this point in time as to how much I will earn and it's incredibly annoying when my father keeps asking me about money as his first questions, like all my family cares about is whether I'll earn money or not... I guess this is what an artist often feels like...

I have no idea when my first poetry tome will come out but it shouldn't be more than a year.

I recently learned that my aunt had a miscarriage while I was in Britain.

As for the good things,

I'm a Godfather... fear me and my apprentice! I will have pics of me in a suit soon enough...

As part of the these New Year promises people seem to keep making, I'll try to blog even more! So expect to see me on sites such as...
Frappr
MySpace
OkCupid
Student Central
TV.com
YouTube

Yes, I'm insane... I think those are all my accounts with a blog function... I'm digitising myself even more!!!

Return of Me

This was a very long and tiring month, apparently, it's not going to slow down now that university started. Here is the gist of what's been going on...

The Visit
As you may know, my parents visited me before I left for Poland. We went to Stonehenge, where I had to translate from an audio guide and after going round the rocks, we were slightly disappointed... then we tried to visit Legoland Windsor but the prices killed that idea so we ended up near Buckingham palace.
Of course, after being nearly done visiting, my housemate (who moved out months ago) calls me and asks me why are my parents staying in his empty room. Apparently, he had in plans having his friends over in a house he doesn't live in any more!
My parents weren't happy with the turn of events, but we got back and they left. They had in mind staying for one more night before leaving so I was a bit afraid about my dad driving across England instead of sleeping. But when I woke up in the morning, they were fine.

I have to say I was very proud of my sister when I revealed the sun behind the curtains one morning and she used her arms to cover her face and hissed... that was so sweet!

Invading London
My cunning plan was perfect! Spend money for tickets to London under the guise of buying shoes for my sister and meet up with Insane Prophet and Revamp. It was fun, plain and simple, and I managed to get a copy of Scion: Hero. When we were in the RPG Store, I said about a possibility for me to translate RPG books and I was shocked when Insane Prophet said "You're not only able to do it, but you will do it right." or something like that. I felt extremely flattered and didn't know what to say, and I still don't know... It was a day well spent.

Busy, Busy, Busy!
After getting back to what was supposed to be a relaxing month, a prospect of joining the team translating Legend of the Five Rings came up. Since I was a bit bitter about not getting into the World of Darkness team, I took the job.
10 pages a day is really hard work... especially considering I was still active in the local literary community. Visited a few authors, talked a bit more about publishing my own poetry volume and went to the theatre under recommendation. A very nice spectacle, but since it was about Wyspiański, you probably won't understand a thing if I start talking about it.

Meanwhile, the Head Translator for World of Darkness invited me to join his in-the-works webservice about the game. After being done with the translation, I quickly translated my Cyberians write-up and he did like it!
So now I'm in two WoD webservices...

Naturally, my sister watched a lot of Heroes while I was there, some episodes with me, some without. While I watched the whole Samurai 7 series as a way to get into the mood of translating. (My excuse is extraordinary!)

Back to the Future
I like travelling but I hate getting from Place A to Place B. The places are fine, but the "getting to" is horrible. Something always goes wrong. This time I had to be stupid enough to use the wrong PIN with my card so I was stranded on the airport and if it wasn't for a friend, I would be stuck there... Thankfully, she greatly helped me out and I managed to get back here. I guess I deserved the 5 hours I had to wait in Luton.

There are new housemates in the house, I met two of them already and they seem fine. It shouldn't be hard to survive this year, even considering it's my second and it's going to be harder. Although, last year was quite easy and boring.

Apparently, the university's online database has me as a Literature student... this needs corrections!

Lack of Time

Why is it that when there is a lot to write about there just doesn't seem to be enough time for it... this is my excuse for why I might disappear from the net soon and why such a late and short update...

Friday - mother and sister arrive, me and a Czech friend (her car) went to pick them up
Saturday - dad arrives, we go visit Brighton
Sunday - we go see Stonehenge and London, due to housemate trouble, they had to leave at 22:00
Monday - Bank holiday, me and sister sat at home and spent the time being siblings!
Tuesday - we go search through Brighton shops
Wednesday - Czech friend comes to take us to a Polish friend, we talked all four about stuff and relaxed, ended the day with searching through Eastbourne shops
Thursday - we stayed at home and were siblings again!
Friday - we went to London to meet Insane Prophet and Revamp, I bought Scion: Hero
Saturday - we were siblings again (sister was recovering from bad feet-pain), parents arrive late in the evening
Sunday - early in the morning dad takes us all to the airport, noon spent flying, rest of day on the road to Białystok
Monday - spent on being with mum and seeing grandpa for a moment
Tuesday - search for books for my sister high school and regaining my sleep pattern which was drained of hours last week
Wednesday - I make talks about a translation job

Right now I am contracted to translate 120 pages of Legends of the Five Rings for the Polish market. I have 2 weeks to be done with it, thus I shall be busy once more...

I live!!!

Life can be quite complex at times. So I'll try to break this entry into categories, because I feel like it.

General
I have recently found myself in a tricky position. The internet connection was shut down and for half a month I had no way to be online at my usual times. Which meant that I was out of the circulation and had to use the time in a different fashion, but on that later, let's talk about cooking first!

I found out that I love cooking. This sounds very lame considering that the most I cook is chop, fry and add sauce, I'd rather have some more complicated things but money and time don't allow for it. What would be really great is if I had someone to cook for, as is, I'm looking forward to my sister's visit and am thinking of what things to cook. I'll probably try that thing Harry did for MJ in Spider-Man 3, looked real nice. Cooking for myself is just not as awarding. My tastes are quite limited, especially when it comes to meat so most of the stuff I make is various chicken breast dishes (mostly with rice). My cooking must look weird since I hate the feeling of sticky liquids on my hands. I always use just the index finger, the middle finger and the thumb of my left hand to hold a breast as I cut it, carefully watching not to touch it more than I need to and washing it immediately after I'm finished. It might be a slight Obsessive Compulsive Disorder of mine, but at least it's not like I wash my hands seven times a day... I saw a documentary on such people and their skin literally cracks...

I stumbled upon an article detailing three aspects of a relationship. Sex (the physical act of copulation), Erotica (the sensual pleasures of the flesh) and Love (the more esoteric and emotional state of being with someone). After reading it, I think a lot of my issues spring from the fact that I am looking for Love in a relationship, while I feel as if all is about Erotica primarily... The article is not in a language you'd understand.

Family
My mother and my sister bought tickets and shall be arriving here at the end of this month. My mom will probably be picked up by dad who'll come down and might stay for a night, while my sister will stay with me for a week and a half. Which should be interesting, we plan on drawing, cooking, shopping and playing turn-based strategies (Heroes IV and Civilizations IV) together. Right now she keeps sending me photos of all the new kittens on my grandpa's farm.

We had a bit of a scare with my grandpa. He felt significantly weak these past few days. Of course he is old but for someone who can get himself dead drunk and still walk a few kilometres through knee deep snow in the middle of the night on his knees... him feeling weak is not a good thing, but I called him and that cheered him up. I suspect he is just being depressed by the fact I'm not on the farm...

Friends
I find it hard to befriend people, but there are a few instances where it is really worth it. I know I'm bad at keeping contact, but truth is, I just don't have enough things happening in life to make weekly updates.

I have emailed everyone, so if you didn't receive an email, something is wrong with your account (I'm looking at you, Seven!!!). It took me a while, 37 emails is a major feat, and most of the subjects where crappy ones like "hello", "hi" and the sort, but it's not like I made one big email and sent it to everyone...

Thanks for everything guys and gals.

Career
I've recently got word from Książnica Podlaska (my home library-publisher) that Mr Mieczysław Czajkowski really liked the translations of poems I made for him and wants to publish them. He first needs to find a sponsor, so we shall see if I get my name in yet another book.

Speaking of books, I have a hard time writing recently. Not that I don't have any ideas, I've got plenty and the more I think about a concept, the more subplots my mind adds. However, for some reason, I don't feel like writing prose lately. On top of that, I decided not to write poetry about love. I looked through my old ones, and it just seems like I'm some kind of masochist... lots of pain and angst and stuff... I shouldn't drag myself down like that. Thus even though ideas come, I discard them because of their topic.

I've recently spoken with Wyrm in German over ICQ and my German is horrible. I need to seriously learn the language. That way I can at least try for a teaching position in England. Which would give me enough money to live and by saving some, I'd be able to publish a book. Of course, I won't publish it in Britain, but I only need money to publish it in Poland. I can do it either in Polish and let it roam free or print a bunch in English, bring them back and start selling them on eBay or some such. (This is why people think of me as a planner, I just can't help myself but to make plans...)

Literature
I'm done reading The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice and started to go through Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. Before continuing, I shall take a moment to do the following:

Magnificent Seven, although being a man of the written word, I find myself at a lack to describe the gratitude emanating from my bleeding heart for this gift you've chosen for my birthday, nearly two years ago. I loved the book and remain in your eternal debt.
(not payable by Mastercard, Maestro or Visa)

Ah, how I love to read such books. Very sensual and vivid, even though I have mixed feelings about the sex scenes in Bitten, I still like it overall.

Cartoons
Not many of you heard, but there will be a new Transformers cartoon. I think it's cool, most people think the style is awful and that it's going to suck. Then again, people always say that about new things. The only thing I was worried about is how they will make toys for this cartoon with those designs!? The panel at Comic-Con showed the prototypes of some and finished products of others and they look great. Soundwave turns into come kind of van-like car and has a guitar! That made me laugh... I'm really starting to like it but it comes out next year, so there's half of this one to go through with.

Other than that, I'm watching three ongoing Anime at the moment. Bleach is in filler stages, which is annoying but Naruto Hurrican Chronicles finally had the fight with Sasori and it's excellent, much better than Deidara vs Gaara. D.Gray-Man is going nicely, a bit slow but the plot thickens...

Series
No internet meant I had loads of time to watch series. So I finished what I had of Painkiller Jane and Raines. The first season of Ghost Whisperer and the first two seasons of Medium. Excellent stuff to watch but I quickly ran out of my stash so I finally picked up Prison Break, I have to say that from what I heard I expected something better, but I really like the whole portrayal of the prison environment.

Toys
I had one of those "you live only once" moments, so I bought Barricade, from the Transformers Movie which I haven't yet seen. The toy is excellent, I really like how the car and robot modes look and am impressed with the transformation sequence. It took me a while to get it right, to know what are the limits of all the joints without smashing them, it's crucial that you are gentle with these things, the paint on the sides (the words POLICE) are already peeling off. The transformation from robot to car is a bit tricky at the end. You have to put everything in just the right place and put enough pressure on the whole back to make it click and then it is excellent. It's hard because I don't want to break it!

Roleplaying
It's only a few more days for my pre-ordered copy of Changeling: The Lost to arrive. If it's cool enough, I might take that proposal from Weregoat and Rabbitpurr to set up a game on RPoL for them.

Speaking of which, the Orphanage game is going through the hiatus, apparently Deoq and another player are outside the internet range, while a third one is MIA.

United We Stand game is doing extremely well. One player said he'll be slower but right now he is in a solo thread with the rest being scattered around the Hundred Kingdoms doing some quests worthy of heroes. Our First Lunar NPC Solar Bonded to one PC has finally made an appearance, the Dawn is going travelling through the towns to make an army, while the rest is very close to fighting some demon kittens!

I've recently started a Werewolf: The Forsaken game in Polish, but one player seems to be ignoring it although he said he would post, without him it's down to two players, which is kinda bad. I'll have to hunt him down now...

This is I speaking!

Have you ever had this sort of day where you just couldn't be bothered doing anything at all? If yes, you should be familiar with how my life currently looks like. Since I was unable to find a job I just kept having most of my time spent on doing nothing... I can't even concentrate on writing, watching shows or reading, this is how bored I am... I'll try to escape from my confinement tomorrow.

For once in my life, I want to have a week without any relationship related stuff. I just noticed that most of my poems are just about love, and that begins to disgust me even more. I want to go out without seeing pairs strolling around, I want to read a book without a lovely relationship somewhere inside, I want to watch a series without people going at each other with raging hormones. I feel like my emotional part is dying out, which is bad as that is where my inspirations come from most of the time. Even posts to forum games become harder to come by, while normally I write with the speed of wind...

My sister plans on coming round here to England. I hope I won't be forced to look for a place to live in July, which I am slightly worried about, but of course I was told not to. This comes from the simple fact that a sign saying "auction" is right out the door-step of this house, but the landlord who said he will give loads of notice if he decides to sell the house did not call any of the people living here. Thus one can only hope for the best.

Dad is still nagging me about going back to Poland because I couldn't find a job and am not doing anything as such. What he fails to see is that when I'll be in Poland I won't be doing much either and hey, maybe when I'll come back I'll be homeless and have my stuff thrown out on the streets. It's just annoying how much you can say NO without any effect on those who ask. It's like years ago when parents asked Krzyś what he would like for dinner and gave him what they thought he would like without giving any consideration to what he actually said... annoying... really annoying... not only that, but he suggests for me to try working in the company from last year. Let's see, work in a place where you mostly hear insults thrown your way on and off work and live with your father likely to get mad at you for him not listening to what I am saying or stay here and eat a sandwich a day... I'll take the sandwich.

Anyway, he bought a Peugeot 2006 for mum.

Stuff been happening

I've been busy these couple of days.

I've visited my grandparents on Saturday, I went to the woods with the dog, I watched how magnificent the sky above the trees looks before a storm. How the wind and thunder play a symphony of heaven's rage, and how the light reaches the grass through the dark clouds of woe.
I'll have to try and write a poem about that beauty.

The next day, of course, I had to study for my English exam. And what is a better way to study the complexity that is the language of England than to watch an American cartoon?
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *is evil*

Monday went mostly uneventful. I got the highest grade at the highest difficulty level so now I'm über. The examinators were astonished, to say the least. The end of the exam went like this:
1. Every student that took it went into the room.
2. The examinators say my name and ask where am I.
3. Another examinator points towards me.
4. Then they say my score: 20.
5. Silence.
6. The examinator ask: "Where's the applause?"
7. APPLAUSE!!! I so rule.

Now you can call me the God of English, oh wait, you already call me that.

Tuesday was mostly sleeping, that way I was able to save up energy for the evening party... which was boring as hell.

Today I had to go to school in the morning to make the FINAL corrections to the tome. This time it wasn't in a file but in a real book format. It looked neat, my favourite colour.
I made some corrections that I didn't noticed before, like "singed" instead of "sang", and I changed "alright" to "all right". As not to give people a chance for pointing out my mistakes.

When I came home I had to buy a ticket for my dad... it took me about 3 hours.
I had to use the phone because my dad wanted to use the voucher that he got earlier, although I told him that it will be a small sum.
First they said I couldn't use the debit card, only credit cards. So I had to put the booking on hold, call my mother, she gave me her card info, and then I called them again.
Then they told me that if I want to use the voucher I had to send it to them, not just give the voucher number. Everything was alright, I got the address to send it and the ticket was only waiting for the voucher to come. So I called my dad to inform him about the voucher sending. But he had to notice the price, it was one pound less than buying over the internet. AND although I told him that buying through phone or a salon is ALWAYS more expensive I still had to listen to all those comments about asses and toilet papers. He told me to cancel the booking, and tell them a lot of vulgar words... I cancelled the booking, and that's that.

Right now I'm frustrated. I really hope I'll find one of the Transformer figures I want in the supermarket today... or I might be mad.

The irony is that I didn't want to make the booking via phone in the first place, I wanted to make it via the internet, mostly because I'm lazy. But now, we paid a lot on those country to country phone calls I had to make. And my mum says that me being a slacker is a bad thing.

HA!

Last week of school... EVER!!!

Yesterday was Easter. Of course my aunt changed the celebration time from evening to morning so because of me, a lot of people I care about didn't play Werewolf yesterday... I feel like crap now.

So after 5 hours (and she promised me 2) I came back home and started working on filling the poetry tome with my translations. Of course it turns out there was a mistake in the file so now it has one page too many... that may be troublesome. I worked 5 hours on that thing, only to see it modified now and making adjustments later... BLAH!!!

That was a really bad day... must be because of that black cat that crossed my path on Thursday... AND I STILL DON'T HAVE THE IELTS RESULTS!!! That starts to drive me mad, have I done that badly that they won't even send results to me?

At least it's the last week of school... which is both a bad and a good thing.
Good: It's the last week of school EVAH!!!
Bad: That only means that Matura is near, soon I'll be sending applications to universities

What happened

Let me recall what happened in the Life of Vampir... hmmmm... that sounds like a title for some soap opera...

I went to torpor on the Off-Topic Forum, I stopped to enjoy posting there.

I joined SnE instead, and I started to be more active on the other forums where I have membership. In other words, TV.com and Seibertron.com. I must say that SnE is awfully slow, I only managed to make 20 posts in 4 days, meh...

Looks like I graduated school, I'll be getting my diploma on Friday. Although the grades aren't those of a top student I'm glad I graduated. I still lack the IELTS exams though. Now I have to survive the Matura, I'll have to practice my speech a bit more.

I'm so tired today. I got the last part of the poetry tome I'm working on, there were two texts that needed translating, a note from Jan Leończuk (a very prominent poet in our region) and a Redactor Note about our school. Those two were a bit difficult and long. Now comes the part of inserting my translations into the blank pages... and I have a game tomorrow. That saddens me a bit because I had to tell my grandfather that I can't visit him on Easter but I really need to work on this project.

My mum called me today and informed me that she'll be back in a week. Somehow I don't care much... I don't know why, I just want to get out of this house, get a job, get a house, and live without anyone telling me what I have to do at this very moment.

What really made me happy lately is the fact that some of my class mates ask me if I could stay in touch with them if I'll go to England... (which is unlikely since I won't pass my Matura)

The fact that I have ideas is troublesome, I have ideas for spirits, monsters, characters, cities, settings... I want to write them, and I want to put them all on a website... I just am like that. Creativity is my curse. Not only I have various ideas for RPG, but I also have my own ideas for webcomics and stories, maybe even a book if I get to work some more details...

Semi-Alone

Well, it's been an hour since my mum left me for some dad in England...

Thursday, 5 January 2006

94%

Mock English Matura: Me knows English not...

In other news:
I came home today after about 8 hours at school, and I see no one is home. That's odd, I thought, but then something black with eyes that screamed for human sacrifice and with claws able to tear flesh like butter jumped at me. So I hugged my kitty and gave her some food. She went mad from loneliness, and people think cats aren't social animals.

After a while my aunt, uncle and their baby daughter came. Their first words: "Why is it so dark? Why didn't you turned at least one light on?"... I didn't notice... (happens all the time)
