New Year Resolutions
Since everyone and their mom thinks New Year Resolutions are a waste of time and never work, I thought I might give them a try.
Be more of a jerk
Deoq once said that I suffer from an ailment of being too nice. Before that, my doctors always said I need to be more egoistic. I never really took my tendency to think about the other person before myself as a bad thing. Recent years proved me wrong (happens more often than I don't care to admit), I'm just being taken advantage of and abused as I don't want conflict to complicate my life. This needs to end, I have to change my attitude. Malice is not hard, I just need to find a balance that works.
Cease activity on the Polish side of the internet
RPG.net has this saying: no game is better than a bad game. This can be easily translated to other walks of life as: not doing something is better than doing something that only causes you frustration. There's really no point in me engaging in an activity that only turn out is bashing my head on the wall out of sheer frustration on how things are.
Get a BA
My final year and I'm writing up a blog post instead of studying? Who does that?! Me, of course.
Learn some prayers
Already started learning one really long one. Maybe I'll be done with it by the end of the year... or maybe not. I can't really call myself orthodox if I don't pray, right?

I've put an hour in my schedule just to read. It's working, I'm reading. I want to get rid of the pile of books to be read. I probably won't make much progress until I get out of university and into the scary wide world of doom. I'm making progress in getting through the 105 books I own which is a good thing!
Send a story to some magazines
While most of my ideas are best served in novel format (what can I say, I like complexity), I have an idea for a short story now and then. I've never tried sending it to any magazines for publication, there are some bits I don't like about publishing but I can't use my idealism as an excuse all the time. I made preliminary research, now I just have to edit the story I have and send it to as much places I can.
Start jogging
I wanted to start working on my body for a while now. I had an epiphany recently, it often happens I have trouble sleeping, I just wake up very early in the morning. I'm a morning person I guess. I'll use this ability of mine to wake up early and start the day with a run. I find it hard to imagine there will be a lot of people at 5-6 AM and a bit of time alone with the world would do me good. Although, I think I might start a bit later in the year. Catching a cold now would only complicate things.
Write Stuff
I promised to write a couple of things for MrGone, Calliope, Seven and Alther to read. I've been putting it off because I prioritised my studies higher than those things and it's been slowly eating me up. I really don't like breaking promises, and while technically I didn't break anything since there was no deadline involved, I still feel bad about it. There's also Class Deceased, the novel I started a year ago, which didn't get any progress at all. I Should Be Writing had a very good point in saying that it doesn't matter if you write 5 words or 1000 words a day, a week or a month, it's more than nothing. I don't think that was the exact wording, but you get my meaning. As such, I won't care how much or what, I'll just write whenever I'll get the chance.

Happy New Year
Although the year started with a smile, my mood is quite foul now. I'm too depressed to care about anything, which is quite bad considering I have assignments to do soon. Without a laptop, I'm getting so bored here that my mind just shuts down... I shall be going through hell when I'll get back to England...
Naturally, other events aren't making things any better!
I was given a translation of poems worth 60 pages and for now I'm just correcting little mistakes (like loose instead of lose). I do this because the translation has some lines that I just cannot agree with (anymore none still ???). The translator started talking about how he tried to translate the rhythm of a poem... but I'm getting an impression he forgot about the sense of a poem... I'm going to talk about it with the Director first because from our short conversation, it feels like the translator in question considers me inferior. He kept on talking on how translations are made as if lecturing me... and here I'm supposed to write an opinion about his work... not a good start.
I might be doing some translation work, for which I am glad, but now I have the inevitable problem of money. I just don't care at this point in time as to how much I will earn and it's incredibly annoying when my father keeps asking me about money as his first questions, like all my family cares about is whether I'll earn money or not... I guess this is what an artist often feels like...
I have no idea when my first poetry tome will come out but it shouldn't be more than a year.
I recently learned that my aunt had a miscarriage while I was in Britain.
As for the good things,
I'm a Godfather... fear me and my apprentice! I will have pics of me in a suit soon enough...
As part of the these New Year promises people seem to keep making, I'll try to blog even more! So expect to see me on sites such as...
Frappr
MySpace
OkCupid
Student Central
TV.com
YouTube
Yes, I'm insane... I think those are all my accounts with a blog function... I'm digitising myself even more!!!

2007
Another year begins. I remember how a year ago, Seven tried to coerce me into making a livejournal, but I said I'm going to make it after New Year and not sooner. And so, a year has passed. It was eventful, I gained a bit more confidence in myself but I also lost a lot of things. Like my belief that it's going to be better one day. Funny thing, since I came to this realisation I'm happier about living.
Another thing that I learned is that there is no love on this world, well... at least for me.
People seem to have been doing New Year Resolutions at this time of the year, I dunno if this counts since I decided so even before all the festive started, but for this year I plan:
1. Survive - a yearly attempt
2. Find a place to live - much like one of my friends, I can't stand the constant partying at the Halls, and since in Poland that's no different, I don't have to accuse myself of causing this by my decision.
3. Find work - I just need some income so I won't have to be so depended on my father.
Now it's just waiting to finally get back to England. I hope Seven will still be up to have me as her guest... I am so looking forward to the prospect of training Dale in German... I need to teach him to use the /ts/ phoneme when he sees a "z" graph...
I noticed I never had this much beer in my life. There wasn't a day I haven't drunk a can. I even went to the shop and bought beer for a meeting with my friend, the one whom I haven't seen in about 3 years. A lot has changed, and I will try to stay in touch with him. We had a good time, I think I finally found what really makes me happy. What I would consider a "party", and not just mindless drinking and cursing, just to feel cool.
